Experienced Gastroenterologist Joins Saint Francis Medical Partners
Saint Francis Medical Center proudly welcomes board certified gastroenterologist Wilfred Lee, MD, to Saint Francis Medical Partners. He has had a strong relationship with the Medical Center and the community for many years and now joins the expert team at Cape Gastroenterology Specialists: Michael R. Freeman, MD; Rafid J. Hussein, DO; and Wilson P. Pais, MD, MBA, FACP, FRCP.
Together, they will provide the region with expert care for gastrointestinal conditions, including abdominal pain, biliary disorders, Crohn’s disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, gastroesophageal reflux, liver disorders, pancreatic disease, peptic ulcer disease, ulcerative colitis and other digestive disorders.
Lee earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed an internship and residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia and a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He has special clinical interests in capsule endoscopy, geriatric gastroenterology, esophageal and stomach diseases and disorders, proper use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel diseases, acid reflux, polyps, celiac disease gallbladder disease, and abdominal pain.
Lee will continue to see patients at his current office at 2907 Keystone Drive in Cape Girardeau, eventually moving to the Center for Digestive Diseases on the Medical Center campus. Call 573-651-0180 for more information or to make an appointment.
