In addition to providing excellent medical care to premature infants and newborns, the Level III NICU at Saint Francis offers support services to parents and family members, including:

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assist you and your family with your emotional and spiritual needs. Prayers, blessings dedications and the sacrament of baptism can be arranged for infants at any time. If needed, pastoral counseling is also available to further help families cope during this stressful period.

Social Services

Social Services is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help families manage the stress of having a critically ill infant in the Level III NICU. Social workers are available to meet with each family to provide information and assistance during the infant's stay in the NICU and offer continued support after discharge. Social workers can assist with:

  • Financial information
  • Emotional support
  • Family conflict
  • Stress and depression
  • Lodging and transportation
