July 23, 2012 – Saint Francis Medical Center has named Verlene Luna, MHA, FACHE, administrator of Saint Francis Medical Partners. In this role, she will provide leadership for all operational, financial and administrative aspects of Saint Francis’ Medical Partners network.
Before joining Saint Francis, Luna worked with several healthcare systems in developing employed physician networks. Most recently, she worked as a consultant and administrator for Internal Medicine Associates of Southeast Missouri in Poplar Bluff. She was previously director of physician practice services for Providence Health & Services in Olympia, Wash., and director of business development at Aultman Health Foundation in Canton, Ohio.
Luna graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, Mo., with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and earned a master’s in healthcare administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She also completed an administrative internship with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and is board certified in healthcare administration. Luna is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
