Paul M. Doelling, MHA, CMPE, has been named director of specialty practices in Medical Affairs at Saint Francis Medical Center. In this role, Doelling will be responsible for fostering, developing and facilitating the improvement of some of the Medical Center’s specialty physician practices. He reports to James A. Schell, MD, MHA, FACP, Vice President – Medical Affairs. Doelling has extensive experience in group practice administration, most recently serving as the director of specialty practices at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Ill. He was a practice manager/financial analyst for Metro Heart Group of St. Louis and spent more than 10 years in consulting as a senior management consultant with BKD, LLP and as vice president/chief operating officer with B.A. Farris Healthcare Consultants, Inc. Doelling earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from Saint Louis University. He is a certified medical practice executive (CMPE) and has served as president of the Greater St. Louis Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In 2009, he received the prestigious Better Performers Award from the Medical Group Management Association for accounts receivable and patient satisfaction.
