Franklin Hayward II, DO, neurosurgeon at Saint Francis Medical Center, with an expert panel of physicians and clinical staff, will hold a free seminar on conservative approaches to treating back and neck pain June 30 at 6 pm at the Greater Poplar Bluff Area Chamber of Commerce.
Neck and back pain is one of the most common reasons people see a physician and the most prevalent chronic pain condition. It can keep people from the activities they enjoy and limit work capabilities, and many struggle with finding adequate relief.
Some of the treatment options include physical therapy, exercise, chiropractic care, oral pain medications and therapeutic injections. Joining Hayward at the event will be chiropractic physician Aaron Andrews, DC; physical therapist Ryan Pretz, MPT, CMPT; Saint Francis physiatrist Im Sun Hong, MD; and assistant manager of the Saint Francis Pain Management Center Rhonda Robert, RN. Together, they will give those who suffer from neck and back pain insight on how to manage it.
