The Healthy Weigh, a medical weight-loss program at Saint Francis Medical Center, was recently awarded the 2011 HMR Gold Standard Certificate of Achievement. This award distinguishes The Healthy Weigh from hundreds of clinics nationwide using the HMR (Health Management Resources) program for weight loss. Since opening at Saint Francis in March of 2011, program participants have lost more than 3,000 pounds.
The Healthy Weigh at Saint Francis offers a comprehensive approach to weight loss that includes intensive lifestyle education and the option of medical supervision for those with weight-related medical conditions. The program teaches participants how to lose weight safely, keep pounds off and improve wellness through healthy eating habits and physical activity. It can be customized for people looking to lose anywhere from ten to 100 or more pounds. A team of medical and fitness specialists at the Medical Center and Fitness Plus offers expert guidance in prevention, exercise and nutrition to help participants healthily shed and keep off pounds and achieve overall wellness. The clinic is staffed by trained HMR experts and integrates a registered dietitian, nurse and medical director Philip E. Tippen, MD, for great results.
HMR recognizes programs that demonstrate excellence in performance and patient care by presenting Gold Standard Certificates annually to a select group of clinics across the nation. Certificates are awarded in categories such as greatest weight loss rates, outstanding group attendance, and best weight maintenance data. HMR Programs nationwide submit clinical data in these areas and the top programs are presented with the HMR Gold Standard Certificate of Achievement. Saint Francis’ program earned the Gold Standard in 11 categories, including weight loss, patient retention, group attendance and program compliance.
Free orientation sessions are held each week, offering more information and samples of the program’s food, beverages and meal replacements. Call 573-331-5686 to reserve a spot today!
