The Saint Francis Foundation is offering the opportunity to honor loved ones while also helping patients in need through the Luminaries for Life campaign. Donations will benefit the Sister Esther Emergency Fund, which assists patients in need with transportation, clothing, meals and lodging.
For each donation, a decoration is added to Saint Francis Medical Center’s Christmas display. Gifts in any amount are appreciated. A donation of $35 to $99 adds a light to the Christmas display. Donations of $100 to $249 adds a luminary, donations of $250 to $499 adds a star, and donations of $500 or more adds an angel.
The Saint Francis Auxiliary established the Sister Esther Fund in 1978 by in memory of Sister Mary Esther Coffey. This fund provides financial support to patients identified by the Medical Center’s social workers. Contributions for the Sister Esther Emergency Fund are accepted at any time.
As a special thanks, those making a donation to Luminaries for Life are invited to attend A Night of Remembrance on Tuesday, December 13 at 7 pm. The ceremony and reception will be held at the Tuscan Sun Restaurant at Saint Francis, 211 Saint Francis Drive, Entrance 4.
