Providing patients with excellent care is a priority at Saint Francis Medical Center. To make certain patients remain satisfied, Saint Francis takes measures to ensure it delivers the best care and services possible, including monthly discussions among a committee of representatives from various departments throughout the Medical Center.
Saint Francis also measures patient satisfaction through Press Ganey Associates, Inc. patient opinion surveys. Patients discharged from the Medical Center receive an opinion survey asking about the services utilized while at Saint Francis. The completed and returned surveys are sent to Press Ganey, a national leader in healthcare satisfaction measurement.
Press Ganey compares the Medical Center's patient satisfaction scores against nearly 900 hospitals nationwide that voluntarily participate in the patient opinion surveys. Saint Francis routinely ranks in the 98th percentile for patient satisfaction, which means the Medical Center is in the top 2 percent of hospitals nationwide.
Saint Francis also voluntarily participates in surveys conducted by Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, which has accredited hospitals across the country for quality care practices for more than 50 years. Its accreditation is a nationwide seal of approval that indicates a hospital meets high performance standards. This accreditation helps hospitals improve their performance, raise the level of patient care and demonstrate accountability in the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace.
Hospital Compare has information about the quality of care at over 4,000 Medicare-certified hospitals across the country. Click here to view Saint Francis Medical Center.
