Saint Francis Extras

At Saint Francis Medical Center, we go above and beyond the call of duty for the comfort and convenience of our patients and guests.

ATMs (automatic teller machines) are available for the convenience of our guests. An ATM is located in front of the Tuscan Sun Restaurant and in the Healing Arts Center.

Saint Francis Auxiliary and Volunteer Services are great ways to get involved at Saint Francis. Our volunteers receive training and orientation to become an integral part of the Saint Francis healthcare team. Our volunteers make a difference and you can too.

Beautician services are available through our volunteers on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Beepers are available for families with a patient in critical care or surgery. This service allows them to leave the Medical Center with the comfort of knowing they will be notified immediately of any changes in the patient’s condition.

The Healthy Weigh at Saint Francis is a medical weight-loss program that incorporates diet solutions from Health Management Resources (HMR), a weight management company that specializes in lifestyle education, personalized attention and follow-up and emphasizes long-term weight and health management.

Tuscan Sun Restaurant and Deli Plus offer a wide selection of meals and snacks to visitors. The Tuscan Sun is located on the lower level of the Registration Center, Entrance 4. Vending machines are available 24 hours a day. Our Deli Plus is located in the Health and Wellness Center and offers a wide variety of healthy choices.

Gift Shop is located in the Healing Arts Center. Volunteers staff the gift shops which offer greeting cards, flowers, candy, toiletries, magazines, jewelry and other items. The gift shop is open weekdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm.

The Healing Arts Pharmacy, located in the main lobby of the Healing Arts Center, is a full-service retail pharmacy. Patients and guests can get prescriptions filled and purchase over-the-counter medications, medical supplies and more at one convenient location. The Healing Garden offers a quiet place for rest and reflection. The garden, with fountains, paths, plants and flowers, is located between the Medical Center and the Healing Arts Center.

Lifeline and Tele-Care are services that allow people to live secure and independent lives. Lifeline is an emergency response program that alerts our Response Center when a Lifeline user is in need of emergency help. Tele-Care provides free telephone checks for people living within 35 miles of the Medical Center. Tele-Care volunteers
place calls every day of the week, including holidays.

Mail is delivered to patients daily by our volunteers. Mail that arrives after you have been discharged will be forwarded to your home. Stamps, envelopes and writing materials are available in both gift shops.

Newspapers are available in vending machines near the cafeteria (Southeast Missourian, St. Louis Post Dispatch and USA Today). A limited number of Southeast Missourian newspapers are available to patients who request them.

A notary service is available to patients free of charge. To arrange for this service, ask a member of your patient care team. Please remember that some form of  identification will be required.

Free parking for patients and visitors is available in designated areas near each building on the Medical Center campus. If desired, a security officer will escort you to your vehicle.

Support groups meet regularly to provide help and support to patients and their families. For more information about a specific support group, call the Education Center at 573-331-5107.

Fitness Plus, located at 150 S. Mt. Auburn Road, is medically integrated fitness facility that combines fitness, wellness and rehabilitation for a complete continuum of programs and services designed to fit the unique health profile and fitness goals of every person. You can participate in a group fitness program or work one-on-one in a personally designed program to attain your health and fitness goals. Services include a state-of-the-art fitness center, exercise stations with cardio theatre, four-lane lap pool, indoor track, basketball and volleyball, free weights and weight training equipment, a recreation pool, warm water therapy pool, whirlpool and much more.

Athletic Republic is an intense training program for athletes that can help them reach the top of their game. Call Ext. 5345 for more information.

Womancare is conveniently located on the first floor of the Healing Arts Center. Womancare provides health services, education, screenings and support for women
at any stage of life. Mammography and osteoporosis screenings are available by appointment.

The Saint Francis and Perpetual Adoration Chapel, located near Administration, is open around the clock every day of the year. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the chapel for worship services, prayer and meditation.
