The program prepares the PALS American Heart Association Instructor candidates to learn how to disseminate the science, skills and philosophy of resuscitation programs and gain the knowledge necessary to teach PALS.
This instructor level course is designed for those who are strongly motivated to teach with a high level of enthusiasm and have excellent PALS performance skills.
The completion of the AHA “Core Instructor Course” which will be included in the precourse packet. This course requires some computer skills and on average can take 6-8 hours to complete depending on your internet and computer speed.
Participants must be a current provider (2010 guidelines) in the discipline they will be teaching and have a current healthcare provider CPR card.
All AHA instructors must have a current Instructor Manual in the discipline they are teaching.
