Campbell Critical Care Center
The Campbell Critical Care Center at Saint Francis Medical Center is a state-of-the-art unit equipped with the latest medical technology and staffed by highly trained medical professionals who specialize in caring for critically ill patients. The Campbell Critical Care Center houses two intensive care units:
• 10-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• 10-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU)
Patients are often brought to the Campbell Critical Care Center via air or ground from other hospitals throughout the five-state region. To ensure the best Medical Center stay possible, the Campbell Critical Care Center offers a variety of patient and family services such as:
• Flexible visiting hours to ensure optimal patient care
• Telephones, restrooms and shower facilities for families
• Overnight family accommodations/waiting room
• Chapel and pastoral care
• Counseling and social services for financial concerns and community resources
• Crisis counseling
Families of patients receiving critical care at Saint Francis benefit from a convenient and restful area in which to spend time during their loved one's illness. The Critical Care Family Room is Saint Francis commitment to families and the comprehensive care required for these critical patients.
The Family Room is centrally located on the main floor of the Medical Center, with convenient access to the CCU on the same floor. The Medical Center's chapel and a vending area with 24-hour food access also are nearby. The Family Room features:
• Limited sleeping provisions for family members who prefer to stay overnight
• Three private restrooms and a shower
• New furnishings with tile floors
• Coffee service
• Large windows that welcome the abundant natural light
• Computers with Internet access
• Flat-screen TV
• Personal lockers
