Foot Clinic
Offered through Saint Francis Medical Center's Wound Healing Center, the Foot Clinic is a specialized clinic where health professionals diagnose and treat specific foot and lower limb conditions. They also advise on how to prevent future foot problems from occurring.
It is important for patients at higher risk of foot-related complications, such as diabetics, to have periodic foot exams. The Foot Clinic provides patients with:
- Comprehensive examinations of the lower legs
- Toenail trimming and care
- Corn and callus management
- Foot care education
- Ulcer management in the Wound Healing Center by physician specialists
Many insurance providers now cover the costs for diabetic nail care or foot exams. Check with your insurance provider regarding coverage prior to your appointment.
