Angina pectoris is a recurring pain or discomfort in the chest that results from a lack of blood to the heart.

Atherosclerosis is the buildup of plaque that causes thickening and hardening of arteries.
Cardiomyopathy is any weakening or deformity of the heart muscle that causes a decrease in pumping force.

Congestive heart failure is the heart's inability to keep up with the demands of the body.
Coronary artery disease is a condition caused by a thickening of the walls of the arteries that supply blood to the heart, which can deprive the heart of oxygen. This can cause damage to the heart and result in a heart attack in severe cases.
Endocarditis is the inflammation of the heart lining and the heart valves often caused by a bacterial infection.
A heart attack (or myocardial infarction) is the result of the sudden death of a portion of the heart muscle caused by a sudden decrease in blood supply to that area.
Ischemic heart disease results from a decreased blood supply to the heart due to narrowed or blocked coronary arteries.
Mitral valve prolapse occurs when one or both of the valve flaps are enlarged and their supporting tissues are too long. The mitral valve flaps don't close smoothly or evenly due to this condition. Blood can leak back through the valve, causing a heart murmur.
Myocardial infarction is the sudden death of a portion of the heart caused by a sudden decrease in blood supply to that area
Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart.
