With a physician's referral, our dietitians can educate participants on medical nutrition therapy on an individual basis or in a class setting. Nutrition Services offers the following classes:

Heartwise Healthy Eating
Educational sessions focus on decreasing fat, cholesterol and sodium intake in your diet and making total lifestyle changes. Sessions meet twice monthly (second Wednesday at noon and fourth Wednesday at 9 am). Cost is $10 and a physician referral is required. Call 573-331-5111 for more information.

Diabetes

Carbohydrate Counting: Meets Thursdays at 10 am.
Basic Skills Class: three-hour introductory class taught by a registered dietitian and a nurse educator offered at various times throughout the month. Physician referral required.
Living Well With Diabetes: One-day educational program to help patients and their families successfully manage diabetes. The class meets monthly. Physician referral required.

Weight Wise
Discover information to promote healthy weight reduction through sessions that meet twice monthly (the first Monday at 2 pm and the third Wednesday at 9 am). Cost is $10 and a physician referral is required. For more information, call 573-331-5111.
