Surgical Services
Surgical Services at Saint Francis Medical Center boasts an exceptional reputation for high-quality care and serves all inpatients and outpatients undergoing a surgical or special diagnostic procedure. Surgical Services is comprised of:
Anesthesia
The surgical suite contains two cystoscopy rooms and 15 operating rooms, including two dedicated to open-heart surgery and one to endovascular care.
Sterile processing prepares surgical instruments, assembles surgical trays and prepares case carts for surgical procedures.
Same Day Services offers a high level of care to patients whose surgeries/procedures do not require an overnight stay in the Medical Center. Transportation is provided for all Same Day Services patients if needed.
The Post-anesthesia care unit cares for postoperative patients and assists the intensive care unit when there is an overflow of patients.
