Wellness at Saint Francis Medical Center offers a variety of services to help keep individuals healthy. Some programs include:
BIOMETRICS is a six-week nutrition and fitness program designed for significant body composition change.
Individuals learn about their own unique metabolism and how many calories they can eat to maintain or lose weight.
Companies can register for executive physicals, health screenings and wellness talks.
Held the first Thursday of the month, Participants receive support and helpful information on maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
A variety of health services and screenings (such as health risk appraisals, cholesterol screenings, blood pressure and fitness testing) can be offered on-site at your organization's health fair.
A variety of heart and health screenings are offered to the public every Wednesday from 7 to 10 am in the Health and Wellness Center (150 S. Mount Auburn Road). They include blood pressure; blood sugar; cholesterol panel including total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and cardiac risk ratio; bone density; and more. No appointments are necessary.
Nutritional activities, recipe sharing and informational seminars are all part of this healthy club. This free program is held the fourth Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm in the Health and Wellness Center (150 S. Mount Auburn Road).
Whether you have a specific health problem (such as cholesterol or high blood pressure) that needs to be addressed or just want to improve your health through proper nutrition, a registered dietitian is available to discuss your unique concerns.
This comprehensive assessment of your health covers over a dozen different wellness areas such as fitness, nutrition, heart health, stress and cancer risk. The questionnaire can be personalized with your lab work, body measurements and fitness testing results. The final 20-page report includes individualized recommendations and is presented by a fitness professional.
A variety of health, lifestyle and wellness topics can be presented at your organization.
