Financial Assistance

Saint Francis provides very good care to all patients, even if they cannot pay. If you cannot pay your hospital bill (s), Saint Francis offers three programs. These programs exclude charges from physicians independent of Saint Francis.

Uninsured Patient Program

All uninsured patients receiving services at Saint Francis Medical Center will receive a 50 percent reduction of charges at the time of billing. This discount is comparable to contracted payor discounts.

Presumptive Charity

All self-pay balances will be processed through a presumptive scoring program to determine if the patient qualifies for assistance. If the patient meets qualifications, the patient account could be reduced to zero balance.

Patient Financial Assistance Program

If a patient cannot pay portions of the Medical Center’s charges and feels the presumptive scoring was unreasonable, a financial assistance application can be completed for further consideration.
