About the Knee, Hip, Shoulder Clinic
Saint Francis Medical Center’s Knee, Hip, Shoulder Clinic can promptly diagnose injuries and get patients on the road to recovery quickly.
No physician referral or appointment is required for the clinic, which takes place on the second floor of the Saint Francis Health and Wellness Center every Tuesday from 8 to 11 am, right here in Cape Girardeau. This clinic is ideal for those in need of the expertise from a joint specialist or athletic trainer to manage their treatment and care, including athletes, weekend warriors, or anyone who has shoulder, hip, ankle, or knee pain or injuries.
During one-on-one visits with patients, the Clinic physician will assess the joint injury, evaluate the scope and severity of the injury, and recommend further treatment plans. The Clinic physician will work with the patient’s primary care physician and involve other specialists as needed to provide a comprehensive care plan.
Treatment options may include:
- Physical therapy
- Diagnostics, such as X-ray or a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan
- Facilitating an appointment with a surgeon or additional specialists
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended through Outpatient Rehabilitation Services. To learn more about the Knee, Hip, Shoulder Clinic or to schedule an appointment, call Outpatient Rehabilitation at 573-331-5153.
