AHA’s most advanced resuscitation course expanding on core ACLS guidelines and encouraging critical thinking and decision-making strategies. Features interactive, realistic, case-based scenarios to present material specific to experienced providers who routinely perform resuscitation. Includes four learning stations: Cardiovascular, Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Respiratory and Metabolic, Post-Cardiac Arrest Care, Written exam and skills test.
ACLS-EP is for seasoned healthcare providers who are proficient in performing BLS and ACLS skills, interpreting ECGs, and understanding ACLS pharmacology and who regularly lead or participate in emergency assessment and treatment of pre-arrest, arrest or post-arrest patients. This includes physicians, paramedics and emergency department or critical care nurses.
Participant must be a “Current Healthcare Provider in CPR” and “competent in recognition and Interpretation of basic arrhythmias”. A well prepared student is mandatory, study materials must be picked up in the Training & Development offices prior to class and there is an online test that must be completed prior to class.
No charge for SFMC employees who are required to maintain ACLS certifications for their job description.
