Lung cancer is the world’s No. 1 cancer killer. In the later stages of the disease, it spreads beyond the lungs and becomes even more difficult to treat.
As part of its commitment to detecting lung cancer in the early, more treatable stages, Saint Francis is providing free lung cancer screenings to people aged 50-74 who are heavy smokers, former smokers or otherwise at risk on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
High-risk patients will be screened using low-radiation CT scan technology and notified of the results within one week.
No preparation is required, but patients must be preregistered.
