Saint Francis Medical Center celebrated the delivery of its first baby of 2017. At 4:59 pm on Monday, January 2, 2017, a baby girl was welcomed into the world by proud parents Jesse and Lora Stafford of Fredericktown, Mo., and caring Family BirthPlace nursing staff.
Grant D. McWilliams, DO, FACOG, obstetrician/gynecologist, Saint Francis Medical Partner, delivered 6-pound, 9-ounce, 19.5-inch River Lynn Stafford.
The Family BirthPlace saw many unique names throughout 2016, but some names appeared more often than others. In 2016, “E” names ruled. For girls born at Saint Francis in 2016, the most popular name was tied between Ella and Emma; and for boys, Elijah. These names were followed closely by Abigail, Amelia and Ava for girls, and Beckett, Grayson and Liam for boys. Unique names on the list for 2016 were Lola, Magnolia, Persephone and Symphony for girls and Arlo, Calvin, Dax and Lionel for boys.
The Family BirthPlace ended the year with 978 deliveries, including 15 sets of twins and one set of triplets!
