  • Eat whole grains and proteins. Studies indicate that dieters who ate these types of food lost twice as much abdominal fat as those who ate none. This might be because whole grains reduce production of insulin, which is another chemical that encourages fat storage.
  • Eat meals slowly. Relax, savor each bite and pay attention to feelings of fullness. Odds are you’ll eat less, thereby keeping fat off your belly.
