Saint Francis Medical Center announces the ninth annual Fall Coaches Clinic, set for Thursday, September 19, 2013, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Medical Center’s Health and Wellness Center – Entrance 8.
Keynote presenters for the event include:
- Kenneth Ravizza, PhD, Professor of Applied Sport Psychology at California State University. Ravizza is one of the top peak performance consultants in the world today. His educational approach to performance enhancement has helped athletes, coaches and performers of all levels achieve success on a more consistent basis through the use of mental skills training.
- Jim Crews, Head Basketball Coach, Saint Louis University. Crews was introduced as the Billikens’ head basketball coach April 12, 2013, after leading them to unprecedented success while interim coach during the 2012-13 season. He will speak about his professional coaching journey and how his experiences can be applied by other coaches.
The clinic will also feature Saint Francis physiatrist and medical director of Sports Medicine Jimmy D. Bowen, MD, FAAPMR, CSCS; manager – clinical nutrition services Debbie Schumer, MA, RD, LD, and dynamic warm-up breakout sessions conducted by Saint Francis certified athletic trainers.
