Saint Francis Medical Center welcomes new radiation oncologist Benjamin D. Goodman, DO, as a Saint Francis Medical Partner. He joins fellow radiation oncologists Tapan Roy, MD, FACR, and Emily L. Militzer, MD, at Cape Radiation Oncology.
Goodman earned his medical degree from Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Ky., and fulfilled his transitional internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Goodman later completed his radiation oncology residency at Indiana University Department of Radiation Oncology in Indianapolis. His clinical interests include stereotactic treatments used to treat multiple cancers, including brain, lung, spine and liver. He understands the benefits that constant advancements and technologies can offer in the fight against cancer.
“We are excited to welcome Goodman to our team of Medical Partners as we continue to advance new radiation oncology offerings at Saint Francis,” says Steven C. Bjelich, FACHE-D, President and Chief Executive Officer at Saint Francis. “His addition to the practice will further benefit the people of Cape Girardeau — enhancing the superior cancer care they have come to count on.”
Outside of work, Goodman enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their three sons. He loves being outdoors: hunting, fishing, biking, running and working on his family’s row crop farm.
