Saint Francis Healthcare System has named Jason Ewing as its new chief information officer (CIO). In this position, Ewing will be responsible for directing Saint Francis’ information systems strategy and operations and will serve as a member of the Executive team.
Ewing comes to Cape Girardeau from Idaho, where he most recently served as IT systems director for St. Luke’s Health System near Boise. He has extensive Epic, EMR and compliance experience, with a strong background in project management and the ability to design and execute large, complex projects.
Saint Francis has always been focused on delivering top-notch patient care, through expert providers and innovative technologies. Ewing inherits a motivated team that completed a $43 million Epic electronic medical record implementation system-wide in July.
“We are excited to have Jason as part of our team and look forward to his leadership as we continue our Epic transition and optimization,” says Steven C. Bjelich, FACHE-D, Saint Francis President and Chief Executive Officer.
