Saint Francis Healthcare System welcomes vascular surgeon Joseph F. Mayo Jr., MD, FACS, as a new Saint Francis Medical Partner. He joins fellow surgeon Colleen Moore, MD, FACS, RPVI, at Cape Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery.
Mayo earned his medical degree from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, La. He later fulfilled both his surgical internship and residency from Naval Hospital Oakland (Oak Knoll Naval Hospital) in Oakland, Calif., and completed his vascular fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Mayo has significant experience in private practice, as well as years served as a physician in the Navy. He is passionate about all aspects of vascular and endovascular surgery, with clinical interests that include stroke prevention, the treatment of cerebrovascular disease and complex, lower extremity revascularization.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Mayo to our team of Medical Partners as we continue to advance our vascular surgery offerings at Saint Francis,” says Steven C.
