“All of our food and beverages are made fresh to order using only natural ingredients of the highest quality,” says Rick Hetzel and Cheryl Mothes, owners of Fresh Healthy Café in collaboration with Saint Francis Healthcare System and Saint Francis Foundation.
“Our partnership with Fresh Healthy Café is the perfect complement to our never-ending focus on the spiritual, clinical and physical well-being of our community,” says Jimmy Wilferth, Vice President of the Saint Francis Foundation. “Not only will we be offering the area’s healthiest options in nutrition, 80% of the net proceeds from the restaurant will be donated to the Saint Francis Foundation so that we can continue to offer much needed resources to our area’s financially stressed.”
Fresh Healthy Café will also provide delicious and healthy alternatives such as gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, plant-based protein and dairy free. Amanzi Hydroponics Farm in Sikeston, co-owned by Hetzel and Steve Hamra, will supply direct farm to table produce. One of the largest hydroponics farms in the Midwest, Amanzi Farms has the capability to provide up to 24,000 heads of lettuce per week to restaurants and food distributors, as well as other vine crops and specialty produce items.
Fresh Healthy Café believes the choices we make today will not only affect ourselves, but our planet as well. All locations are constructed with sustainable building materials and they strive to only provide biodegradable in-store packaging. Fresh Restaurants President & Founder, Jeff Parker explained, “Our commitment to living well extends beyond the four walls of our stores.
