Saint Francis Medical Center introduces board certified neurologist Sisira Yadala, MD, as a new Saint Francis Medical Partner. She joins fellow neurologist Andrew Godbey, MD, MSPH, at Cape Neurology Specialists, 3004 Gordonville Road.
Yadala earned her medical and surgical degrees from Osmania Medical College in Koti, Hyderabad, India, and finished her preliminary internal medicine residency at Westlake Hospital, Resurrection Health Care, in Melrose Park, Ill. She later completed her neurology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, and her clinical neurophysiology/epilepsy fellowship at New York University in New York City.
Her clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of a wide range of epilepsy syndromes, setting up an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, the identification and pre-surgical evaluation of patients amenable to epilepsy surgery, and streamlining systems of care to improve outcomes in stroke patients.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Yadala to our team as we continue to advance our neurology offerings at our Medical Center,” says Steven C. Bjelich, FACHE-D, President and Chief Executive Officer at Saint Francis. “Her addition will benefit patients by enhancing our epilepsy, stroke and overall neurology care.”
Yadala is married to Anand Venkata, MD, a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Saint Francis. They have a baby daughter and love spending time with her, exploring southeast Missouri. Outside of work, she relishes family time, playing tennis, hiking and watching movies.
