Saint Francis to Host Strollin’ Through the Colon Fundraising Walk

Excluding skin cancers, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in the United States.
In conjunction with the American Cancer Society and the Missouri Cancer Consortium, Saint Francis Healthcare System will host a Strollin’ Through the Colon walk. Funds raised through registration will benefit the CancerCare Fund through the Saint Francis Foundation, which helps cancer patients in need with nutritional supplements, medicine, transportation and lodging, as well as increases access to free cancer screenings.
Strollin’ Through the Colon will be held on Saturday, March 18, at the Saint Francis Cancer Institute, located at Entrance 6 of Saint Francis Medical Center. Registration will begin at 8:15 am and the one-mile walk around the Medical Center campus will begin at 9 am.
Visit sfmc.net/colon-strollin to register today. Registrations by midnight on February 20 will receive a Strollin’ Through the Colon walk shirt; registrations after that date may not receive a shirt. If you have questions, please contact Liz Glastetter, Director of Cancer Services, at 573-331-5154.
