At Saint Francis Medical Center, it is one thing to have the facilities we have, and the technology, and the innovation. But unless ALL of that is converted into compassion and caring, it doesn’t matter. And that’s where our nurses at Saint Francis come in.
Nurses are with patients 24/7. While the physicians and therapists come and go, nurses are with patients at all times: whenever they are in need, whenever they hurt, and when the family visits. On top of that, nurses render care way beyond the clinical focus of their profession…many times because of their real-life experiences as a parent, a sibling, a child, or as a friend.
Registered nurses are regarded as the most trusted profession based on honesty and ethical standards. In Gallup’s Annual Survey of Most Trusted Professionals, registered nurses came out on top for the 14th time in the past 15 years. This is no fluke.
Recently, several of our nurses shared valuable insights on the nursing staff at Saint Francis and the expertise and care they provide to the community. From these insights, several videos were put together to capture the meaning, passion and satisfaction of being a nurse at Saint Francis.
To hear their thoughts in their own words, please take a moment to watch the videos below, which express repeated themes of teamwork, education and patient care that were shared by all of the nurses.
In addition, because the stories shared were so powerful and genuine, we want to share their stories with you. To see what it means for individuals to be a nurse at Saint Francis, check out their stories here.
