Saint Francis Medical Center’s Wellness department promotes healthy living through community awareness activities and progressive, holistic approaches to health education. Wellness programs offered at our campus in Cape Girardeau range from nutrition and exercise classes to a variety of health and wellness screenings.
Whether you have a specific health problem (such as cholesterol or high blood pressure) that needs to be addressed or just want to improve your health through proper nutrition, a registered dietitian is available to discuss your unique concerns.

Tobacco Cessation Classes
Kick the habit with our tobacco cessation class series, open to the general public (fee: $75), and free to SFMC employees and their spouses. Tobacco Cessation Class Schedule
Companies can register for executive physicals, health screenings, and wellness seminars. In addition, a variety of health services and screenings (such as health risk appraisals, cholesterol screenings, blood pressure and fitness testing) can be offered on-site through health fairs at your organization.
Individuals learn about their own unique metabolism and how many calories they need to lose weight or maintain their current weight.
Personal Wellness Profiles
This comprehensive assessment of your health covers over a dozen different wellness areas such as fitness, nutrition, heart health, stress levels, and cancer risk. The questionnaire can be personalized with your lab work, body measurements, and fitness testing results. The final 20-page report includes individualized recommendations and is presented by a fitness professional.
