Sports Medicine

Whether for competition or recreation, Saint Francis Medical Center’s Sports Medicine program has been keeping athletes at their best since 1995. In addition to fostering athletic excellence, Saint Francis’ Sports Medicine team – physicians, certified athletic trainers and licensed physical therapists – has been helping athletes identify, recover from and prevent injuries.

Free Injury Screens

By treating injuries and ailments quickly, Saint Francis’ Rehabilitation Services makes it easy for athletes of all ages and levels to reach and maintain peak performance. If you are experiencing pain, a physical therapist or certified athletic trainer will conduct a screening and recommend next steps for recovery by showing you exercises or referring you to a specialist for more treatment.

To schedule a free injury screen, call 573-331-5153.

Training Area High Schools

Saint Francis Healthcare System is actively involved in athletic training at Notre Dame Regional High School, working with many athletes every year to ensure safer athletic programs and more successful student athletes. These trusted athletic trainers are passionate about sports, have built lasting relationships with coaches and treat their athletes, not just the injuries. We have provided this service for many years and are excited to continue doing so.

We are equally excited to announce that Saint Francis Foundation, through the generosity of donations, will begin providing athletic training supplies. Saint Francis Foundation raises funds to improve the lives of patients, families and members of the community in need.

Because athletic training supplies are being provided by the charitable arm of Saint Francis Healthcare System, if you are interested in supporting these efforts your donations are greatly appreciated. You may contact the Foundation at 573-331-5133 or via the Saint Francis Foundation website.
