Minimally Invasive Biopsy with Ion

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women in the United States. According to the American Lung Association, only 16 percent of lung cancer cases are diagnosed at an early stage.

Utilizing the Ion endoluminal system, Saint Francis is able to offer minimally invasive biopsies for the detection of lung cancer. The flexible robotic end reaches far into the peripheral lung, where more than 70 percent of nodules exist. By navigating to difficult-to-reach areas of the lung, providers can better diagnose lung cancer at its earliest, most treatable stage.

Yearly low-dose CT screenings are recommended for individuals aged 50 to 80 who currently smoke or have quit in the past 15 years and have at least a 20-pack-year smoking history. If a low-dose CT detects a lung nodule, a biopsy follows to determine if the nodule is benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous).

Dr Bittle is a very good Dr. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions in terms that I can understand. I had an Inspire Device installed after my decades dealing with sleep apnea and Dr Bittle walked me through every step before and after my surgery. Thank You .

He is nice an easy to talk to

Dr. Fadul is kind and exlpains things to my understanding and he doesn't mind if I ask questions. I like him.

He's kind, thorough, and I feel confident in his care. He doesn't rush me, listens if I have anything to say or ask and makes me feel secure in his knowledge.

This visit had no purpose. A waste of time. Nothing accomplished

Dr. Fadul is a great doctor!! Very friendly, listens to any questions I may have. Great information given.

This is a very good intelligent doctor, he is up front and forward with us.

Dr. Fadul inspired confidence that he would meet my Pulmonology related needs. I look forward to working with him.

Always has time to sit and explain things to me

Friendly and professional staff. Dr. Fadul was very pleasant, and didn’t talk “over my head” the way some doctors do. There was no more than 5 minutes wait time to see him. I highly recommend him.
