Crump to Take on New Role as Director of Emergency and Trauma Services

Saint Francis Healthcare System is pleased to recognize Carla Crump, RN, BSN, in her promotion to Director of Emergency and Trauma Services, effective November 2022.

Crump has served in the Emergency Services Department since March of 1996. Crump has served in several roles including staff nurse, Assistant Manager and most recently Manager of Emergency Services since 2012.

In her new role, Crump will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all of the non-physician functions within Emergency and Trauma Services to ensure that services are provided in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives of Saint Francis.

Debby Sprandel, RN, BSN, MSN, MBA-HA, Chief Nursing Officer, said of Crump, “Carla has been instrumental to the success of the Emergency Department already by her support with critical initiatives. Several of those initiatives include conversion of documentation from paper into an electronic medical record; assistance in design, renovation and expansion of existing Emergency Department location; restructure of staffing model to include advanced nurse practitioners; preparation and implementation of disease specific certifications including: Level III Trauma, Chest Pain and Stroke Center accreditations. The team is excited to see Carla transition into the Director role and continue leadership into the future.”
