This appointment was for a pre-op check-up.
Alicia came in and greeted me as always but the negative this time is that she had me confused with someone else, speaking to me about a shoulder injury that I don't have or remember having. In that moment I felt unimportant. It made me feel that I was just another patient or maybe look like someone else. A short view of my chart ahead of time could've changed that. But after we got passed that, she always sits and takes notes and shows care and concern and be willing to get to the bottom of the issue instead of being dismissive and making me feel like I don't know my own body I've had for 45 years, as my previous provider did. I like Alicia and I normally have a great visit with her.
