Jason M. Loden, DO
Jason M. Loden, DO is a board-certified general surgeon accredited by the American Board of Surgery, with extensive experience in minimally invasive and traditional surgical procedures. Recognized for his thorough approach and exceptional patient communication, Dr. Loden is dedicated to delivering personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
He is committed to providing high-quality care with an emphasis on patient comfort, safety, and recovery. His dedication to medical education earned him the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching medical students at Creighton University. Dr. Loden is also a member of the American College of Surgeons as an Associate Fellow.
His expertise includes gallbladder, abdominal, colorectal, and gastrointestinal tract surgery, as well as specialized procedures for hemorrhoid treatment and hernia repair. He chose general surgery because it allows him to connect with patients across generations and diverse backgrounds, building meaningful relationships while making a lasting impact on their lives.
Ronald M. Richmond, MD, FACS
Ronald M. Richmond, MD, FACS is committed to more than just treating conditions – he is dedicated to restoring lives. With a profound understanding of the human body and the surgical expertise to address complex medical challenges, he delivers care that is both highly technical and deeply compassionate.
Dr. Richmond specializes in hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, appendix removal, and abdominal and colorectal procedures, providing patients with advanced, individualized treatment.
His passion for surgery began with a love for working with his hands and solving intricate problems. However, during medical school, he discovered that understanding disease alone was not enough – he wanted to take action, restore health, and help patients reclaim their lives. That commitment continues to drive him every day.
Sydnei E. Tolefree, MD
Sydnei E. Tolefree, MD is a board-certified general surgeon with a specialized focus in breast care, abdominal surgery, soft tissue lesions, colorectal procedures, and GI tract surgeries. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients facing a range of surgical needs-from mastectomy to complex gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Tolefree earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., followed by her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, KS. She completed her general surgery residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she also conducted research on outcomes following traumatic grain elevator injuries.
She is committed to offering personalized care, helping each patient understand their diagnosis and treatment options, and supporting them through every stage of recovery.
April Ostendorf-Morris, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC
April Ostendorf-Morris, MSN, APRN, ACNS-BC, is a board-certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist specializing in general surgery, with a dedicated focus on high-risk breast care and breast cancer. She provides expert, compassionate care for patients with abnormal breast imaging and offers specialized surgical support for conditions involving hernias, gallbladders, the colon, and small bowel.
April earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Southeast Missouri State University. Her choice to focus on breast health was deeply personal, driven by the experiences of several aunts and close friends diagnosed with breast cancer.
April is passionate about guiding patients through diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and recovery. She believes in creating a supportive, informed experience that helps individuals feel empowered and confident in their care.
Courtney Palisch, APRN, FNP-BC
Courtney Palisch, APRN, FNP-BC, specializes in general surgery, bringing expertise in hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, breast procedures, colon surgery, hiatal hernia/GERD treatment, and surgical spine exposure. She is dedicated to delivering high-quality surgical care with a personalized, compassionate approach.
Her journey in surgery began in the operating room as an RN circulator on the general surgery team. As her skills expanded, she transitioned into the surgery clinic and took on the critical role of surgical first assist. Driven by a deep commitment to patient care and continuous learning, she pursued advanced education while remaining active in general surgery.
Courtney earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. Her extensive experience, surgical expertise, and unwavering dedication to patient well-being make her a valued member of the Saint Francis General Surgery team.
