Saint Francis Healthcare System welcomes four new members to the Saint Francis Health Development Board of Directors – Marvin Adams Jr.; Kimberly Likens; Daniel Presson; and Susan Layton Tomlin.
Marvin Adams Jr. currently serves as the President of First State Community Bank, previously working as Vice President of Commercial Lending. Adams brings extensive experience with expansion projects, real estate construction and financial feasibility to the Board. Adams and his wife, Kimberly, live in Cape Girardeau County with their three children.
Kimberly “Kim” Likens is the Media Sales Consultant for KFVS-12 in Cape Girardeau. She has been a volunteer for Saint Francis for many years, serving on The Friends of Saint Francis Board of Directors. Since its inception in 2016, Likens has served as the co-chair for The Friends Gala. A lifelong Cape Girardeau resident, Likens and her husband, David, have three sons.
Daniel “Dan” Presson is Director of the Office of Career Services at Southeast Missouri State University. Presson serves as the President of the Red Star Neighborhood Revival and as a member of the Cape Girardeau City Council and Chamber Work Ready Coalition. Cape Girardeau residents since 2013, Presson and his wife, Jessica, have one child.
Susan Layton Tomlin practices law at Layton & Southard in Cape Girardeau, specializing in estate, probate and real estate law. Her background includes banking and financial experience. Tomlin has served on The Friends Board, as well as other community boards. Tomlin and her husband, Josh, live in Cape Girardeau.
The Health Development Board oversees the for-profit arm of Saint Francis, identifying expansion opportunities in new and existing markets. Board members serve for a term of three years, with the potential for three more three-year terms. Prior to their appointment, members must be approved by the Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau.
