Saint Francis Health System is in full support of the federally mandated 21st Century Cures Act.
The first step of this multiyear project is to ensure specific patient information is available to patients upon request via electronic or paper copy. Saint Francis provides medical record access via MyChart. Patients have control of their healthcare and medical record through MyChart, as well as paper copies upon request.
Protecting Patient Privacy and Security
Saint Francis is responsible for protecting patient privacy and security according to industry standards. Patients are able to choose what data in their electronic medical record is authorized to share with outside applications. Healthcare providers and other stakeholders are permitted to educate patients on privacy and security matters without implicating information blocking.
